It’s been announced that Nami Tamaki will be appearing in the musical 「犬との約束」(A Promise to a Dog), produced by RKX International.
It’s to be held in April and May in Tokyo and Osaka.
The show is based on the “Old Drum” trial, which took place in the United States in 1869.

STORY:
It’s the true story of the friendship between a man and his dog.
George Graham Vest, his lawyer (he became a U.S. Senator), sought for his client Burden a compensation of $150 for the death of his dog – named “Old Drum” – killed by a neighboring farmer named Leonidas Hornsby.
Leonidas had already warned that he would kill any animal that came onto his property.
At the end of the trial, George Graham Vest surprised everyone by bypassing all the arguments in the trial. Instead, he read a speech that would go down to posterity as “The Elegy to the Dog.”The jury unanimously decided to sentence Leonidas Hornsby to a fine of $550 ($400 more than the legal limit) and the statement “The dog is man’s best friend” became very popular, reaching the present day.

George Graham Vest, su abogado (llegó a ser senador de los Estados Unidos), pidió para su cliente Burden una indemnización de 150 dólares por la muerte de su perro -llamado “Old Drum”-, asesinado por un granjero vecino llamado Leonidas Hornsby.
Leonidas ya había advertido que mataría a cualquier animal que entrara en su propiedad.
