Story

Daniel (Naohiro Oriyama) and Mary (Kana Mikura), a mother and son, live a poor life as farm laborers in rural America. Daniel’s greatest joy is spending time with his dog, Ram. They lead a happy, if modest, life.

George (Daisuke Yokoyama), a lawyer, is always losing cases in court. Because of his soft-heartedness and kind-hearted idealism, he lets his emotions get the better of him and takes cases that he cannot win. Susan (Sayaka Aoki), his assistant, scolds him for his sloppiness, but she also supports him with a sense of dislike. George’s girlfriend Kate (Nami Tamaki) accepts him as he is and supports him as a good understanding person.

Kate’s father, MacGregor (Kojiro Oka), a local conglomerate, has been unfairly oppressing and exploiting the workers under his control. Wielding his authority, he had everything at his disposal: people, goods, and money. McGregor is not happy with Kate’s relationship with George, and plans to break them up.

Then one day, an incident occurs. Daniel and Ram are playing together, and McGregor suddenly shoots Ram, who is trying to protect Daniel from McGregor’s anger and pushes him away. When George hears of this, he fights for the “working class dog” in court against “McGregor the conglomerate”, stating that there is no difference in life between humans and dogs.

Argumento

Daniel (Nao Oriyama) y su madre Mary (Kana Mikura) son pobres trabajadores agrícolas en la América rural. La mayor alegría de Daniel es pasar tiempo con su perro, Ram. Llevan una vida sencilla pero feliz.

George (Daisuke Yokoyama) es abogado, pero siempre pierde sus casos en los tribunales. A causa de su idealismo indulgente, se deja llevar por sus emociones y acepta casos que no puede ganar.
