Introduction
Li Xianglan. Her real name is Yoshiko Yamaguchi.
She was born in 1920 in Fengtian Province, Republic of China to a Japanese father, Fumio Yamaguchi, and a mother, Ai Yamaguchi.
She was a Japanese born and raised in China.

At the age of 13, she was related to General Li, a friend of her parents, as his daughter-in-law, and received the Chinese name “Li Xianglan”.
Later, she made an unexpected debut as the singing Chinese actress Li Xianglan, and during the Sino-Japanese War, she appeared in many Japanese films as an exclusive actress for Man-ei (Manchuria Film Association), including “Song of the White Orchid,” “A Night in China,” and “The Vow of Hot Sand”.
Her songs such as “Yorai Shang” and “Suzhou Night Song” were big hits in Asia.
In 1941, just before the outbreak of World War II, she appeared in “Utafu Li Xianglan” at the Japan Theatre (Nichigeki).
The show was so popular that a large number of Japanese fans flocked to see it, and the audience of seven and a half surrounded the Nichigeki Theater, causing a great commotion.
Li Xianglan was a star that enthralled both China and Japan during the war.

However, as the war intensified, China and Japan deepened their conflict.
The motherland and the motherland. Caught between two countries she loved, her popularity was used for war, and she struggled to keep her identity as a Japanese secret.
This is the story of a diva who has always wished for peace.
